"In 2026, my primary focus has been on expanding and strengthening the foundation so we can continue to grow our impact in a sustainable way. A big part of this work has been supporting the maturation of our organization - both structurally and operationally. On the governance side, I’ve been actively involved in interviewing potential new board members. Bringing on the right leadership is a key step toward building a strong board that can help guide the foundation through its next phase of growth. We’re also in the early planning stages for a mission trip to Burkina Faso in 2027. After leading the foundation’s mission trip to Benin in 2025, I’m excited to apply the lessons we learned from that experience as we begin planning this next trip in partnership with Patrick. Finally, I’ve been working closely with our treasurer to streamline and automate our financial processes. Overall, these efforts are about building strong foundations - people, processes, and planning - so the organization is well‑positioned for the future." Wajeeha M.

“I love volunteering for the Femi’s Heart Foundation, which is a charitable organization that is near and dear to my heart. I enjoy putting my IT knowledge into use for the organization. I also enjoy volunteering for the different opportunities with the foundation, and help interview and on board more volunteers.
