What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site — to volunteer, apply to a cohort, host a drive, subscribe to the newsletter, or ask about sponsorship — we receive your name, your email, and whatever you chose to tell us in that form. If you donate, our donation partner BetterUnite captures the details needed to send your receipt. If you buy a ticket to the Gramercy Gala, Givebetter handles your ticket and payment information.
We also use Vercel Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they got there. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Why we collect it
So we can write back to you, send the updates you asked for, process your donation and email you a receipt, confirm your ticket, and run the programmes you signed up to be part of. That's it. We don't profile you, and we don't do anything with your information that you wouldn't expect from the form you filled in.
Who we share it with
Inside the foundation, your information is seen by Tanya (our operations lead) and Sonia (our CEO). To process payments and send email, we rely on a small group of service partners: BetterUnite and Givebetter (donations and ticketing), Stripe (underlying card processing), and Resend (our transactional email service).
We never sell your information. We never share it with anyone outside the people and partners listed above.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you're engaged with the foundation — receiving updates, volunteering, attending events. After that, we hold on to it for an additional seven years to satisfy U.S. tax and legal record-keeping requirements, then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails with the link at the bottom of every message, or by writing to us directly.

Cookies
We use as few cookies as we can. Vercel Analytics — the only measurement tool on this site — is cookieless. Anything else you encounter is a functional cookie keeping the site working (remembering you've closed a banner, for example).
